After listening to this series and applying what I've learned I have a few reasons why master copywriter and business consultant Drew Eric Whitman selected the title.

Maybe it relates to the fact that I would have paid $50,000 to him and the 10 other experts that have literally super-charged my business and increased profits. And at that price, it would have been a steal.

Or maybe the $50,000 references what average business owners can add to their annual profits after listening. I know in my case, $50,000 would be a low estimate for the increase in business I expect over the course of the next year as a direct result of listening to this course.

Whatever the reasoning behind the title, in my opinion this is material that every person running or thinking of starting a business should own. It delivers essential business and marketing information (some of which I've never heard before but works almost like magic), and it spoon feeds it to you in such a way that you not only completely understand it, but you're excited and can't wait to start applying it to your business immediately.

I confess to buying too many business tapes. I am also too often disappointed by the quality of the production as well the content.

very updated, helpful in managing change in big organizations

I have always been interested in culture and human aspects of the firm. This book was highly recommended by my teacher on strategic management as his favorite on change management. It's an easy read on the human aspects of change and is helped by a novel structure in the book (each subsection of the chapter reads like an individual chapter, which assists the dropping and picking up). It's no nonsense. Anyone who liked 'The Fifth Discipline', will much appreciate this as well. I hope to read more of this type material.

The Accelerating Organization is an excellent resource of ideas on how to develop a constantly learning organization. Maira and Scott-Morgan provide many clear and concise concepts in developing a new organization or moving an existing organization into a learning system. Every point is illustrated from a plethora of international business situations. Not only is "The Accelerating Organization" informative, it is "do-able."

This book has a different feel than anything I've read before. It is everything that The Matrix was hoping to be, and more. You simply need to read it...

This story breaks the science fiction mold, and takes you to a place you've never been before. If you read a lot of sci-fi, like I do, then this book is what you've been waiting for!

It's hard to know what to say without risking giving something away in the story. But most sci-fi books spend a lot of time building, then climax, and then try to tie up a bunch of loose ends in the end. Not The Accelerators! This story just grabs you in the first few pages--you can instantly feel that you're reading something different, something new, something unlike any other book you've read. And the story goes full-throttle all the way to the last page! You won't want to set it down!

It is really two stories, separated by thousands and thousands of years. But the stories intertwine and grow together until they become the same story. I don't want to say much more than that, for fear of giving something away. Let me just say this, though--this will be your favorite book! It has already made the rounds at my work, and it's all we talk about anymore!

If you read very much, then you've already realized that the really good, truly original stories are few and far between. This is one that you can just keep reading over and over, because it will be a long time before another one comes along that is this good! If it goes to movie, I'll be there every weekend, and then buy the video! If it goes to television, I'll be sitting there watching every episode! But, and this would be even better, I hope that the author considers doing at least one sequel!

I just can't say enough about this book! If I had to come up with one thing that could have been done better, it would be that I thought the picture on the cover was a little strange--I eventually understood its significance, but it took a while. Other than that, this is the perfect book, perfectly written. I wouldn't change a thing!

The Accelerators grabs you in the very first chapter, and doesn't let go even after you've finished it. It's unlike any book I've read before, and as soon as I read it I had to buy it for almost all of my friends. It was amazing the way the story included so many actual historical events, making you think about reality and the entire history of the world in a whole new light. I've never read a book this good before! Thinking about it makes me want to go read it again!

I have practiced animal protection law for 20 years. This book taught me things I didn't know and categorized cases that I did know in new and helpful ways. I frequently use it as a reference in my legal work and assign it to the law school classes that I teach. Every animal protection lawyer should have a copy.

"Animal Law" is a thoroughly researched, thoughtfully organized and well-written casebook on this newly-recognized but not so new area of the law. One only has to glance through the Table of Contents to realize the varied roles that animals play in our daily lives and the many contexts in which courts have considered animals. I use "Animal Law" in the seminar I teach at Georgetown; it collects the best cases for any given topic and distills important concepts from the readings through the Notes at the end of each section. I highly recommend "Animal Law" for any lawyer new to the field, as well as for attorneys who have practiced in this area of law for years.

I am not an Arizona resident, so I only have the oportunity to hike there every now and then. This book has helped me to find some of the nicer spots, and go on those hikes well prepared. Maps are pretty good (although it seems that one of them was a little off in scale... not sure though... the textual description was extremely accurate).

The book is beatifully illustrated, and well written. A must-have for hiking enthusiasts.

Arizona is a great state to hike. Even without the magnificent hikes in and around the Grand Canyon, there are plenty of other trails to explore and enjoy. This book does it all! It is an exceptionally well-designed book for hikers across the spectrum. Whether you're a neophyte or have climbed Denali, this book contains all the essential information you need to tackle the hikes listed. The photos are all in color and are breathtaking! You really get a sense of what each hike will look like before you undertake it. Every hike also has a color map to accompany the text description. The maps are easy to follow and instructive.

Equally pleasing is that the authors take the time to describe each hike in extensive detail, though they are never wordy. They list the elevation gains, give succinct but necessary directions to each trailhead and provide ample analysis of the strengths/weaknesses of each trek. The book is small and light enough to carry in your backpack, if you feel the need to consult it while on the trail.

I have over 50 hiking books in my library and it would be hard to imagine a more complete, more photographically stunning or better written guide. I enthusiastically recommend this gem!

This book is printed on good quality paper. The color pictures and hike descriptions give the reader a feel for the terrain. Since I live on the east coast my time out West is limited to seven to ten day vacations. With so many things one can see and do on a vacation in Arizona, choosing is difficult. This book helped me cherry pick the hikes. A state map of Arizona
in the front of the book shows the location of all 100 hikes, so you know what hikes are available for any part of the state.

This book can change your life. Pop it in your purse, briefcase, duffle or diaper bag. Read it when you have a few spare minutes. Well worth the investment. This is a book I refer back to often.

Scott Shaw's About Peace outlines over a hundred ways to be at peace. These are short one-liner admonitions to be read in times of turmoil, when life seems out of control.

What I love most about this book is that it is so easy to read -- each page is an individual chapter on how to find and maintain peace in this crazy world we live in. I find that I have been carrying this book around with me and periodically opening it up and reading a chapter or two in order to refocus my life and embrace my own inner peace. This is an important and very helpful book.

I'm the kid that Scott Alexander mentions in his book in the chapter called "No Alimony". What can I say... Being a Rhino is a great way to live your life. I love to try and turn my ideas and hobbies into new businesses. Scott Alexander has been a great friend over the years and I treasure his books. (especially this one). I give the Rhino book series my highest recomendation.

I started reading the series of these books years ago. My father raised me to be a Rhino,before the books came out.I loved them so much I let dad read them. I couldn't get them back.I've traveled a bit.And seemed to misplace mine.So I'm going to purchase them again.Excellent review from entire family.Best book on life,I can relate to.It's a book that won't come out of your hands easily! My first time reading it,I read whole book in one setting.And read it again a week later. Go one and all learn to be a Rhino.Life just gets better.

I look back at all the people that I have admired and now I know they were RHINOS. This group of books are great for everyone. I think they would be great for high school student also. Just a great idea and way of living.

Always Another Dawn tells the stort of A. Scott Crossfield, a pioneering test pilot. His greatest accomplishment was being an integral part of the development and initial flight testing of the X-15 rocket-powered research aircraft, and it in this area that the book concentrates. It is well-written, however a bit dated. I felt the technical aspects of the airplane's design were lacking, even for the average reader. Any aviation enthusiast will find this to be a great addition to his/her library.

This is a different book about an era that much has been written about. William Bridgeman's "The lonely sky", Pete Everest's "Fastest Man Alive" and Yeager's bestselling autobiography all talk about the same era - the development of supersonic aircraft in the late 40s and early 50s. The perspective is different, Crossfield was a new breed of test pilot - an engineer with the "Right Stuff". For one he was a NACA (now NASA) pilot from the beginning at Edwards AFB. The others were Air Force and manufacturers test pilots. He then left to join North American to push the X-15 program (a much needed research tool) to its completion. Great descriptions of both personal and organizational challenges, the preparation, design and flight testing associated with the X-15. Read "At the Edge of Space : The X-15 Flight Program" by Milt Thomson (who flew the X-15 after Crossfield had tested it) to see how well Crossfield and North American Aviation suceeded in their endeavour to make an unparalleled air vehicle. Some of its records held till the Space Shuttle broke them.

I must admit to being a little prejudiced in my review. For, fortunate for me, the author is my Godfather. My own father, Arthur Olderich, Jr., worked with Mr. Crossfield during the 1950s and, over the past few years, has shared many of his personal accounts of those very special moments in Aviation History. This book chronicles, in vivid detail, so many of the facinating incidents, milestones, and major events that colored the lives of those pioneer aviators at Edwards AFB. I treasure my autographed copy !
